Criminal Justice

The Criminal Justice program combines classroom learning with hands-on experiences that prepare you for today's evolving justice system. You'll study criminology, policing, criminal courts, corrections, constitutional law, research methods, and professional ethics while examining the social, legal, and ethical issues that shape the field.

One of the program's defining features is a required professional internship, giving you the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the area that interests you most. You'll also choose electives that allow you to explore topics such as criminal law, criminal procedure, police investigations, homeland security, juvenile justice, and rural crime. Throughout the program, faculty mentors help you connect what you learn in class to your career goals.
